      The head of the Investigative Committee of Russia, Alexander Bastrykin, has ordered the initiation of a criminal case regarding the death of a motorcyclist in the Nizhny Novgorod region. He also instructed to submit a report on the progress of the investigation.

      Let us recall that the tragedy occurred in the city of Kstovo. A 38-year-old LADA driver made a left turn, entered oncoming traffic, and did not give way to a Kawasaki motorcycle moving in the opposite direction.

      The 36-year-old motorcyclist attempted to avoid the collision, braking sharply, but lost control. He fell from his bike and hit the front part of a passenger car. Witnesses claim that after the fall, the man was alive and tried to crawl away from the car. However, one of the LADA passengers approached the injured man and struck him on the head.

      The motorcyclist was urgently taken to the hospital, where doctors fought for his life. Despite their efforts, the motorcyclist died in intensive care.

      The family of the deceased express concerns that those responsible may avoid liability.

      In connection with this, Alexander Bastrykin has instructed the head of the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia in the Nizhny Novgorod region, Ayrat Akhmetshin, to initiate a criminal case and to report on the measures taken.

      It was previously reported that a vehicle fell into the Oka River near Bogorodsk overnight.
