The beautification of Avtazavodsky Park is scheduled to begin in 2026.

      In 2026, the first phase of work on the reconstruction of Avtozavodsky Park is planned. This was announced by the MOUK "Directorate of Parks and Squares of Nizhny Novgorod" in response to a resident's appeal on social networks.

      The city resident expressed concern that construction has not yet begun in the park, and the area remains neglected. This is despite winning improvement competitions in 2021 and 2022. According to her, there is no suitable place for walks with children in the district.

      The directorate clarified that the reconstruction of Avtozavodsky Park of Culture and Leisure in Nizhny Novgorod is included in the Gorky Automobile Plant's program "New Social Vector" and will be implemented over the coming years. The update concept for the park has been approved — it covers all recreation zones and activity areas.

      Currently, MBU "Nizhegorodgrazhdanproekt" is working on the design and estimate documentation. The work is planned to be completed by the end of this year.

      It is worth noting that the improvement concept for Avtozavodsky Park was presented by the Nizhny Novgorod authorities back in December 2023. It was also reported that the project was planned to be prepared by the end of 2024.

      Earlier, it was announced that the landscaping of the square near the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral was postponed to 2026.
