Nizhny Novgorod's "City Electric Train" transported 700,000 passengers in six months.

      Society About 700,000 people used the "City Electric Train" routes in Nizhny Novgorod in the first half of 2025. This was reported by the GZD press service.

      For passengers paying with the "SitiCard" transportation card, a transfer tariff "electronic wallet 60 and 90 minutes" is available on sections located within the Nizhny Novgorod City District (sections Nizhny Novgorod-Moskovsky – Oka Shore, N.Novgorod-Moskovsky – Pochinki – Dubravnaya, and Varya – Pochinki).

      Electric trains run on the Sormovsky and Prioksky directions. The most popular is the first Sormovskaya line, connecting the railway station with Dubravnaya station. During peak hours, trains depart every 15 minutes. In six months, 344,000 passengers traveled this route.

      The second Sormovskaya line connects Pochinki and Varya stations. It features scheduled interval service: in the morning and evening hours (from 06:00 to 10:00 and from 14:00 to 20:00), trains leave every 30 minutes, and during the daytime (from 10:00 to 14:00), every 40 minutes. Over half a year, this line served 261,300 passengers.

      The Prioksky line covers the section from Nizhny Novgorod station to Gagarin Avenue station. During morning peak hours (from 06:00 to 09:00), electric trains depart hourly. From January to June, 79,200 passengers traveled this route.

      It was previously reported that new stops on electric train routes in Nizhny Novgorod region will appear in July.
