      In Kstovo, a courier reported to the police with a bag containing 146,000 rubles. As reported by the press service of the Regional Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the courier was supposed to leave the bag at the entrance, but did not do so, suspecting something was wrong. The courier told the police that the bag was handed over by an elderly woman in the Soviet region of Nizhny Novgorod. The package was meant to be delivered to Kstovo. Along the way, the customer contacted the courier several times. He asked to leave the package at the entrance, claiming he could not come. The courier suspected a scam, waited in the car for the customer, but he did not come. Then the courier peeked into the bag, found money among the belongings, and suspected that the elderly woman from Nizhny Novgorod had become a victim of scammers, so he went to the police. The suspicion was confirmed. It turned out that the 93-year-old pensioner received a call on her landline from someone claiming to be her daughter, who said she was in trouble and urgently needed money. The pensioner wrapped her savings in her clothing, put them into the bag, and handed it over to the courier at the entrance. After the courier reported the incident to the police, the money was returned to the owner. A criminal case has been initiated for attempted fraud. Julia Polyakova
