SocietyFour residents of the Nizhny Novgorod region who were in Ukrainian captivity will soon return home. The Ombudsman for Human Rights in the region, Oksana Kislytsina, announced the upcoming return on her social media pages.
According to the ombudswoman, the process of exchanging prisoners of war between Russia and Ukraine continues within the framework of agreements reached in Istanbul.
"Another four residents of Nizhny Novgorod, whose relatives previously requested our assistance, are returning home these days. Soon they will be able to embrace their loved ones again," Kislytsina noted.
She expressed her gratitude to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, the special services, Federal Ombudsman Tatyana Moskalkova, as well as all colleagues involved in organizing the return of the prisoners.
It was previously reported that two residents of the Nizhny Novgorod region managed to be returned from Ukrainian captivity.
