      In the Urensky municipal district, a ceremonial opening of two new fire station buildings took place — in Usta and Arya settlements.

      The ceremony was attended by Deputy Governor Petr Banikov, representatives of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the regional Civil Defence and Emergency Situations department, as well as local government officials. Staff members of the new units also participated.

      Both depots were constructed in accordance with modern standards. They are equipped with the necessary firefighting and rescue equipment. According to Petr Banikov, the conditions of service directly affect the training of specialists and, consequently, the safety of residents.

      Fire and rescue station №161 in Arya serves 27 localities with a population of over 5,000 people. Its area of responsibility includes 16 social facilities, such as kindergartens, schools, cultural and religious institutions. The chief of the 30th State Fire Service squad, Sergey Golubev, was presented with symbolic keys to the new building.

      Previously, the Usta settlement's fire station was housed in a building constructed in 1929, which no longer met modern requirements. The new depot was built in less than a year. Now, it hosts not only the 165th fire station but also the Urenske city emergency rescue team and the leadership of the 30th State Fire Service squad.

      The Government of the Nizhny Novgorod Region also provided the 165th fire station with two new fire trucks.

      The coverage area of the 165th unit includes 31 localities with a population of over 3,000 people and 11 social infrastructure facilities. The emergency rescue squad operates not only in Urensky but also in five neighboring districts. Its specialists participate in accident response, search and rescue operations, ensure safety during mass events, and conduct prevention activities in schools.
