      Gubernator of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Gleb Nikitin expressed sincere condolences regarding the tragic crash of the passenger aircraft An-24 in the Amur region.

      In his official Telegram channel, the regional head noted that what happened was a heavy blow to the families of the victims, their loved ones, and relatives.

      “Nizhny Novgorod Region mourns with you. Strength to all those affected by this grief!” – wrote Nikitin, emphasizing that he shares the pain and loss of the affected.

      The disaster occurred on July 24 near the city of Tynda. There were 43 people on board the aircraft; preliminary reports indicate all of them have died.

      In response to the incident, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin ordered the creation of a special government commission to address the aftermath of the tragedy.

      The commission is headed by the Russian Minister of Transport, Andrey Nikitin. The group’s tasks include organizing rescue efforts, assisting victims, and investigating the causes of the crash.
