      EMERGENCY WARNING regarding the likelihood of emergencies on the territory of the Nizhny Novgorod Region According to the data from the Federal State Budgetary Institution “Upper-Volga UGM S,” heavy showers are expected in parts of the Nizhny Novgorod Region and Nizhny Novgorod city until the end of the day and in the evening of July 24, 2025. The probability of emergencies associated with local flooding due to malfunctions (garbage accumulation) of heavy rainfall runoff and drainage collector systems, flooding of low-lying areas, roads, low-clearance bridges, power line supports, communication lines, agricultural land, increased traffic accidents, transportation disruptions, utility system failures, landslides, and slope washouts is rising. Recommended measures: 1. To the heads of territorial bodies of federal executive authorities, executive authorities of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, local governments: - inform the heads of the Emergency Situations Commission, all municipal-level emergency response services, interested organizations, and institutions about the forecast of emergencies; - ensure the dissemination of information to the population, tourist groups, through mass media and official websites of municipal administrations; - make decisions (based on forecasted probability and monitoring data of the developing situation) to bring management bodies, forces, and resources into “HIGH ALERT” mode and organize additional measures to protect the population and territories from emergencies; - prepare municipal forces and resources in accordance with the Emergency Prevention and Response Action Plans, organize interdepartmental operational headquarters; - verify the availability and readiness of stocks of material and technical resources for possible emergency response; - monitor water levels in flood-prone areas; - check the readiness of road and utility services, pump equipment; - clean storm drainage systems, ditches, road pipes, water drains, and water discharge facilities of the hydraulic systems; - cancel or postpone outdoor cultural and entertainment events for children; - strengthen control over the developing situation via duty-dispatch services, ensure timely information exchange and reporting; - place reports about the dissemination of the emergency warning and related information in \server-cuks.spas.netЕДДС ОБМЕНгод\месяц дата Детализированный прогноз and in the “Personal Account” section of the Integrated Disaster and Risk Atlas of the emergency information system within 1 hour.
