Society On the "Gosuslugi" portal, a new feature has been proposed for pet owners. It involves creating a unified federal photo bank of lost pets, which will operate based on artificial intelligence, reports the "360" TV channel.
The initiative was put forward by State Duma deputies from the "New People" party, Yaroslav Samyliin and Vladislav Davankov, who addressed the Minister of Digital Development, Communications, and Mass Media of Russia, Maksut Shadayev.
The essence of the proposal is that any citizen or shelter employee can upload a photo of a found animal to the "Gosuslugi" portal. Artificial intelligence will automatically compare this photo with images from the database of lost pets. If the system detects a match, the owner of the lost animal will receive a notification that their pet has been found.
The deputies believe that such a service will be an important step in the development of digital pet services in Russia. It will help address a pressing social issue and demonstrate that the country is leading in the application of artificial intelligence to solve everyday problems of citizens.
