Economy Deputy Governor of Nizhny Novgorod Region, Andrey Sanosyán, visited Shakhunsky District on July 21 with a working trip. During his visit, he participated in launching a new robotic palletizing line at the Shakhunsky Dairy Plant and inspected the progress of the construction of the first houses under the state program "Comprehensive Development of Rural Areas" (CDRA).

An investment of 52 million rubles was allocated for the automated line project. The new equipment significantly increases the speed and precision of product packaging on pallets, contributing to better preservation during transportation.

Andrey Sanosyán noted that the agroholding "Ruslacto" is one of the most active investors in the agro-industrial complex of Nizhny Novgorod Region. According to him, over the past five years, the company has invested about five billion rubles in various projects, and plans for further investments of approximately six billion rubles until 2030 were discussed during the meeting. All these initiatives will be implemented within Shakhunsky District and also include socially significant areas.

Funding is planned for the creation of the "Northern Valley" agrocluster. It will include projects such as the construction of farms for 2,400 head of cattle, modernization of the dairy plant, involving about 2,000 hectares of previously unused lands in agricultural circulation, equipment purchases, development of agricultural classes, and renovation of the material and technical base of the agricultural college. An educational cluster has already been established at the college within the framework of the federal program "Professionality" of the national project "Youth and Children."

One of the development directions will be the construction of a residential microdistrict consisting of 20 houses. Currently, under the CDRA program, the first three houses with an area of 73 square meters each are being built. Prefabricated house kits are used in construction to accelerate the process. Completion and commissioning are scheduled for November 2025.

Simultaneously, infrastructure development for agrotourism is planned. Alexander Malikov, CEO of the management company "Ruslacto," emphasized that the holding aims for sustainable and comprehensive development. He noted that the company not only creates comfortable jobs but also cares about the future— including ensuring that young specialists studying in agricultural classes and colleges stay to work in their native region. Partnerships with educational institutions and housing construction are actively developing for this purpose.

Andrey Sanosyán confirmed the regional authorities' readiness to provide full support for projects implemented in the district. He reminded that the Shakhunsky Dairy Plant processes more than 30% of all regional milk and plays a key role in the district's economy. Therefore, the region will assist in realizing the agroholding's initiatives, as they benefit the enterprise, local residents, and the region as a whole.

One of the key factors for developing northern areas is gasification. The first stage of connecting Shakhunya to gas supply is planned to be completed by the end of 2025. This project is part of the gas supply and gasification program of Nizhny Novgorod Region, signed by Governor Gleb Nikitin and Chairman of the Gazprom Management Board, Alexei Miller, in 2021.

Interim Head of the Shakhunsky District Municipality, Aleksey Smirnov, noted that residents are eagerly awaiting gasification, as it will give a strong boost to the development of existing enterprises and attract new investors.
