      Some schools in Nizhny Novgorod will not open on September 1 due to ongoing renovation work. This was reported to NIА «Nizhny Novgorod» by the Department of Construction and Capital Repair of the Mayor’s Office.

      

      As emphasized by the department, all work is being carried out in accordance with previously signed contracts. There are no delays, and in some cases, repairs are even ahead of schedule.

      

      The department noted that initially, it was not planned to open all schools by the start of the school year, since certain types of repairs require more time. The deadlines are specified in the contracts for each project, the department added.

      

      Additionally, the department clarified that the final completion dates for each school will depend on the specifics of the work being done.

      

      It was previously reported that six sports schools in Nizhny Novgorod are planned for major repairs.
