      A 43-year-old resident of Kuzbass will be prosecuted for cruel treatment of a warded child. She beat the boy, prevented him from going to the toilet, and forced him to stand barefoot on buckwheat with salt. It is known that in March of this year she voluntarily returned four children in her care to a social institution, citing their "unmanageable behavior." However, the children stated that the woman mocked the youngest of them—a boy born in 2017. Signs of beatings were found on the child's body, after which the information was passed to law enforcement agencies, reports VSE42.RU. It was revealed that the abuse persisted from June 2023 to March 2025. The woman regularly beat the child, sometimes using objects. For example, in summer 2023, she hit the boy at least three times with a polypropylene pipe on his arms, legs, and body over an unsupervised candy. "The guardian also forced the boy to stand barefoot on an applicator 'Kuznetsova,' on buckwheat with salt, and threw a charger at him for watching television. The punishment could last several days with breaks for sleep, meals, and school attendance," the Kuzbass prosecutor's office stated. Investigators added that in one instance, the woman hit the boy on the arm with the butt of a knife, causing physical pain and psychological suffering. The reasons for such harsh punishments varied and included household incidents such as unsupervised sweets, spilled cookies, or turned-on TV. The Kuzbass resident did not admit guilt and did not cooperate with the investigation. However, sufficient evidence was collected. The case with an indictment has now been forwarded to court for consideration.
