The production of the Nizhny Novgorod electric transport manufacturer increased by 10% thanks to the federal project "Labor Productivity."

Regional Competence Center (RCC) experts, together with employees of LLC "SP "NizhEKOTRANS" from Vorsma, summarized the results of implementing the tools of the federal project "Labor Productivity" within the framework of the national project "Effective and Competitive Economy" at the enterprise.
The company specializes in the production of ground urban electric transport, serially manufacturing trams and electric buses under the "MiNiN" brand. An optimization of the tram production process was selected as a pilot project.
"RCC specialists worked at 'SP 'NizhEKOTRANS' site for six months. During this time, the experts helped the enterprise reduce the manufacturing time of electric transport from 621 to 510 hours. Additionally, output increased by 10 percent. RCC staff, in collaboration with the company's team, optimized the tool and raw material storage system, implemented standardized work and rebalancing of operations, and minimized downtime," said Maxim Cherkasov, Minister of Industry, Trade, and Entrepreneurship of the Nizhny Novgorod Region.
RCC experts trained 30 employees of the enterprise in lean technologies, and also prepared two internal trainers who can subsequently teach their colleagues independently.
Currently, 17 manufacturers of various types of transport are successfully implementing the tools of the federal "Labor Productivity" project in the Nizhny Novgorod region.

According to the Russian Ministry of Economic Development, the "Effective and Competitive Economy" national project will become the main tool for forming a new growth model. It includes federal projects aimed at developing small and medium-sized enterprises, increasing labor productivity, boosting investment activity, low-carbon development, and enhancing the state statistical and forecasting system.
