Society/Family The Semenovich family from the Nizhny Novgorod region has become a participant in the offline stage of the All-Russian game "Family Zarnitsa," which starts on July 22 (12+). This year, 79 families from various regions of the country joined the competition.

The project aims to foster patriotic values, strengthen spiritual and moral guidelines, and develop family traditions. The organizers are "First Movement," the "Defenders of the Fatherland" fund, the "Yunarmiya" movement, and the "Warrior" Center.

The preliminary stage concluded on July 21. It involved 420 families, who demonstrated not only physical fitness but also knowledge of Russian history, weapons handling skills, obstacle course navigation, drone operation, and other vital abilities. One of the latest qualifying rounds took place in the Moscow region.

According to Anna Tsivileva, the State Secretary - Deputy Minister of Defense of Russia and Chairman of the "Defenders of the Fatherland" fund, "Family Zarnitsa" helps pass on experience from the older generation to the younger, develops team spirit, and teaches mutual support. She emphasized that the participation of veterans of the special military operation as mentors adds special significance and depth to the project.

The offline stage will be conducted online. Families will need to complete two tasks: create a creative video introduction and pass an intellectual test on Russian statehood and military history. Based on the selection results, 24 teams—one from each federal district—will advance to the final.

The composition of family teams is strictly regulated: four participants—two adults who are married and are parents or guardians of one minor participant—and two teenagers aged from 12 to 16.

Hero of Russia and chairman of the First Movement board, Artur Orlov, noted that "Family Zarnitsa" is part of a large-scale effort to develop patriotic military education in the country. It unites generations and promotes community building based on respect for military traditions.

Vladislav Golovin, deputy chairman of the First Movement and chief of staff of "Yunarmiya," added that participation in the project is not just a competition but a significant challenge for the entire family. Overcoming difficulties together and celebrating victories strengthen family bonds and lay the foundation for nurturing the younger generation.

The game's program includes sports, intellectual, and creative tasks. Special attention is given to the participation of combat veterans, who share their experience and knowledge with the families.

The offline stage will last until August 10. Afterward, preparation for the teams that advance to the final will begin. Training will be conducted by veterans and participants of the special military operation, selected by the "Defenders of the Fatherland" fund.

The initiative to hold "Family Zarnitsa" in the Year of the Defender of the Fatherland and to make it an annual event was announced by Anna Tsivileva at the meeting of the All-Russian organizing committee "Victory." Russian President Vladimir Putin supported this proposal.
