From July 24 to 29, 2025, the 13th Volga Federal District Forum "iVolga" will be held at the Mastryukovskaya Glade in the Samara Region. This large-scale event annually gathers young and active participants from across the country to discuss development prospects, exchange experiences, and launch new projects.
This year, the forum will take place in person. About 1,400 people aged 14 to 35 will participate. Young people from different regions of Russia will come together to present initiatives in education, innovation, humanitarian, and social programs.
The Nizhny Novgorod Region will be represented by a delegation of over 80 people, including residents of Nizhny Novgorod, Dzerzhinsk, and other municipalities of the region. Among them are activists from the regional branch of the "First Movement."
Yury Shalabaev, the head of Nizhny Novgorod, remarked: "Participants of the 'iVolga' forum will experience several unforgettable days. The love for the history of their homeland will unite nearly one and a half thousand young people. They will be able to reflect on the past and connect it with the present. The forum has already proven its effectiveness as a platform where initiatives capable of influencing the country's youth policy are born."
The youth of Dzerzhinsk is especially active in preparing for the forum. The delegation includes 37 people: school students, college and technical school students, as well as specialists from the Sputnik Youth Center.
“All projects presented by Dzerzhinsk youth that win will have a chance for implementation. I wish the guys interesting meetings, new friends, and inspiration for the boldest ideas,” said Mikhail Klinkov, the head of Dzerzhinsk.
The Nizhny Novgorod Region will also be integrated into the educational program of the forum. The region will organize a specialized track "Management," which will bring together 180 participants—leaders of youth movements, young politicians, and civil servants.
One of the key elements of the forum will be grant competitions. Participants can apply for projects from the Civil Society Institutions Support Fund of the PFO (grants up to 500,000 rubles) and the "Rostov Youth. Grants" competition, where up to 1 million rubles can be awarded for implementing their ideas.
Nizhny Novgorod residents will defend projects dedicated to preserving historical memory, developing mentorship, promoting science and technology among youth, and advancing youth media.
Svetlana Anufrieva, Minister of Youth Policy of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, emphasized that participation in "iVolga" is an important step in developing youth initiatives. "I am especially proud of our young people who will defend their projects at the grant competitions. This is a contribution to the future of the region and the entire country," she added.
Additionally, a Nizhny Novgorod Region tent will be presented at the forum, where all visitors can learn about the culture, traditions, tourism potential, and youth achievements of the region.
Oksana Smolina, a deputy of the Nizhny Novgorod City Duma, noted: "I work professionally with youth and know how important support is for them. Similar events regularly take place in Nizhny Novgorod. I can say that the 'iVolga' forum has become an important event over the years, where young people can not only find like-minded individuals but also receive tangible assistance in implementing their ideas."
The forum is held by order of Russian President Vladimir Putin and under the patronage of the Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the PFO, Igor Komarov. Its goal is to create conditions for talented youth to realize themselves and promote promising initiatives.
