More than 80 young people from Nizhny Novgorod will participate in the Volga Federal District Youth Forum "iVolga" 2025.

From July 24 to 29, 2025, in the Samara region on Mastryukovskaya Glade, the 13th PFO "iVolga" forum will take place, bringing together the most prominent youth representatives from across the country. In person, 1,400 people aged 14 to 35 will participate, eager to exchange experiences and ideas, develop, and implement various humanitarian, innovative, and educational programs. The Nizhny Novgorod region will be represented by a delegation of over 80 people, including activists from the regional First Movement. The delegation includes residents of Nizhny Novgorod, Dzerzhinsk, and many municipal districts of the region.

"The participants of the 'iVolga' forum will face several unforgettable days. The love for our country's history will unite nearly one and a half thousand people from all over the Volga Federal District. Participants will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in historical events and connect them with the present day. The forum repeatedly proves that projects born and implemented on its platform help shape our country's youth policy. I wish the residents of Nizhny Novgorod to be brave, sincere, and not miss the chance to showcase themselves and their city at the federal level. I am confident that your energy and ideas will make 'iVolga' a truly powerful event," — said Yury Shalabaev, head of Nizhny Novgorod.

Dzerzhinsk youth are also preparing for the PFO "iVolga" forum. The delegation consists of 37 people, including school students, technical college and college students, and specialists from the "Sputnik" youth center.

"The main theme of this year’s forum is reflecting on historical events and their connection to the present. Participants will present projects where they become custodians of history and creators of the future. It is very important that young people already today understand and feel that the future of the country and cities is in their hands, and new development projects must continue the great history of our Motherland. I can add that all projects presented by Dzerzhinsk youth and winning at the forum will have a real opportunity to implement their initiatives. Interesting meetings, new friends, success, and open horizons for the boldest ideas!" — said Mikhail Klinkov, head of Dzerzhinsk.

"I am always proud of our Dzerzhinsk youth — active, goal-oriented, smart! I personally know several young people who will go to the forum. I am sure that at 'iVolga' all Dzerzhinsk residents will demonstrate themselves and expand their horizons to the maximum. After all, the forum provides all the opportunities for this. Especially valuable is the exchange of experience in developing the 'First Movement' and bringing home the most interesting, coolest ideas," — said Victoria Nikolaeva, chairperson of the city Duma of Dzerzhinsk.

The Nizhny Novgorod region actively integrates into the forum program, notably organizing the educational profile "Management." It will bring together 180 participants — leaders of youth, political organizations, and young civil servants.

Within an interactive model, participants will learn about modern management technologies and engagement techniques, acquire negotiation skills and work with target audiences. The program is developed by the year-round youth educational center "GosStart" with the support of the Ministry of Youth Policy.

Additionally, two grant competitions are held at the forum — a project competition of the Foundation for Civil Society Development in the PFO with the chance to receive up to 500,000 rubles and a Rosmolodyozh grant with the opportunity to obtain up to 1 million rubles to implement their initiative. Among the applicants, Nizhny Novgorod residents will defend projects focused on preserving historical memory, developing mentorship, involving youth in science and technology, developing youth media, and more.

"For the Nizhny Novgorod region, participation in the 'iVolga' forum is not just an event but a significant stage in the development of youth initiatives. Over 80 talented young people will represent the region at the main youth platform of the PFO this year. I am especially proud of those who will defend Nizhny Novgorod projects in grant competitions — this is our contribution to the development of the region, district, and country. I would also highlight the organization of the 'Management' profile as recognition of Nizhny Novgorod’s experience in preparing young leaders. 180 participants from across the PFO will be able to adopt our developments in youth policy and public administration in a dedicated educational track prepared by our region. I am confident that Nizhny Novgorod youth will once again demonstrate the highest level and return home not only with awards but also with new ideas for regional development," — summarized Svetlana Anufrieva, Minister of Youth Policy of the Nizhny Novgorod Region.

Furthermore, the Nizhny Novgorod region will present its pavilion at the "iVolga," where everyone interested can learn about its cultural, national, and tourist identity, as well as the region's youth achievements.

"I work professionally with youth and understand how important it is for young people to receive assistance in self-realization, forming a civil stance, and personal growth. Forums where young people can get such support, exchange experiences, and learn from the best are held regularly, including in Nizhny Novgorod. But over its more than ten-year history, 'iVolga' has become a very notable event, serving as a platform for implementing large-scale projects aimed at developing the Volga Federal District," — emphasized Oksana Smolina, deputy of the Nizhny Novgorod City Duma.

The forum is held under the instruction of the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, under the patronage of the Presidential Plenipotentiary Representative in the PFO, Igor Komarov, to create conditions for talented youth to realize themselves and promote innovative ideas. The forum is organized by the government of the Samara region, the office of the Presidential Plenipotentiary, and with the support of the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs (Rosmolodyozh). Co-organizers include the First Movement together with the Rosmolodyozh platform.
