Over 40 industrial sites are located on the investment map of the Nizhny Novgorod region.
More than 40 sites for potential industrial facilities, including those located in the territories of advanced development and the Kulibin special economic zone, are listed on the investment map of the Nizhny Novgorod region: https://newmap.nn-invest.ru/. Information about available territories is also reflected on the investment map of Russia: https://invest.gov.ru/. These sites are intended for organizing heavy industry manufacturing, engineering, and the processing industry.
With the help of the services, investors can familiarize themselves with the locations of the sites, available engineering and transportation infrastructure, as well as with the contacts of the landowner and the territorial manager of the Nizhny Novgorod Development Corporation, designated for the land plot.
"The Nizhny Novgorod region has a number of advantages for creating industrial facilities: a convenient location at the intersection of logistic routes, a developed system of state support measures, and a strong investment team. Evidence of this is the region’s second place in the effectiveness rating of industrial policy implementation by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation. You can select a site for creating a new production using the investment map, which contains all the necessary information," said Igor Ishchenko, General Director of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Development Corporation.
The largest site for industrial facilities covers an area of 671 hectares — this is the site in the village of Slobodskoye, Bor urban district.
The total area of plots for industrial sites listed on the Nizhny Novgorod investment map exceeds 1,800 hectares, with an average size of about 11 hectares. The most sites are available in the Bogorodsky and Kstovsky districts (each with five sites).
The interactive regional investment map (https://newmap.nn-invest.ru) is a bilingual (Russian and English) public map of the Nizhny Novgorod region, showcasing information about investment sites, real estate objects, existing territories of advanced development and special economic zones, transportation infrastructure, mineral resources, and support measures. Additionally, it integrates a cadastral map as an overlay layer.
Currently, the investment map contains information on over 460 investment sites intended for projects in various industrial sectors, logistics, agriculture, and tourism. More than 90 of these are manufacturing sites designed for equipment repair and assembly, furniture production, and paper products. Most of these sites are not restricted in terms of activities.
The map has been developed in accordance with the regional investment standard—a system designed to create favorable conditions for doing business in the area. Its components include an investment declaration, a development agency, an investment committee, an investment map, and a set of investment rules that outline the entire "client journey" for investors. The standard aims to optimize interaction between investors and government bodies, resource supply organizations, and to reduce project implementation timelines. To date, all elements of the investment standard have been implemented in the region.
It should be reminded that by 2025, the Nizhny Novgorod region confirmed its status as one of the leading regions in the national investment climate rating by the Agency for Strategic Initiatives (ASI).
The AO "Nizhny Novgorod Region Development Corporation" was established on the initiative of Governor Gleb Nikitin. The organization facilitates project implementation at all stages—from providing information about the region and possible support measures, inspecting investment sites, to commissioning the facility—taking on commitments to cooperate with executive authorities, local self-government bodies, natural monopoly entities, and other organizations.
