      This weekend, Gorynits will host a large-scale cultural event: over two days, July 19 and 20, the town will celebrate the Day of the Ancient City and hold the All-Russian Festival of Folk Arts and Crafts "Master Folk Brotherhood" (16+). This was reported by the administration of the Gorodets Municipal District.

      As part of the celebration, residents and tourists can enjoy a rich program. One of the key moments will be a parade of delegations from enterprises and organizations of the district. Additionally, there will be a theatrical reenactment of a boat meet-and-greet with Prince Yuri Dolgoruky — the founder of Gorodets. He will be accompanied by a retinue, adding a historical touch to the event.

      During the festivities, an award ceremony will take place, honoring residents of the district for their contributions to the development of the municipality.

      According to the regional Ministry of Tourism and Crafts, this year's celebration is dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the Gorodets Museum Quarter. Exhibitions, vernissages, theatrical performances, and street performances will be held on its territory. Art spaces and photo zones will also be prepared for guests.

      The central festival venues will be the esplanade and the upper and lower Nizhny Volga embankments. On the Yuri Dolgoruky Embankment, there will be interactive zones and entertainment areas designed for visitors of all ages.

      One of the brightest events will be a fair featuring market stalls, craft booths, and a guest yard where visitors can see products made by folk artisans from across Russia.

      The ministry emphasized that such events contribute to increasing the region's tourist attractiveness. Gorodets, as one of the centers of folk arts and crafts, plays an important role in the implementation of the new national project "Tourism and Hospitality."

      This project, initiated by Russian President Vladimir Putin, has replaced the previous national project "Tourism and the Hospitality Industry." It aims to develop tourism infrastructure, train specialists, produce equipment, promote travel within the country, and ensure high levels of service and safety.
