The "Picnic Season" opens on July 26th at the Pushkin Estate Reserve in Bolshiye Boldiny.

      The A. S. Pushkin "Boldino" Museum-Reserve is opening the "Picnic Season" for the first time in the protected park. On July 26 at 2:00 pm, DANKO-QUARTET will perform on the cherry alley for museum visitors with the program "Rhythms of the Centuries: from Czech Forests to Argentine Streets," according to the Ministry of Culture of the Nizhny Novgorod Region. "We are confident that you will enjoy the Saturday spent with us. Visiting Boldino is wonderful in any season, especially in summer. You will experience the unique estate atmosphere while sitting in the shade of trees, many of which are the same age as Pushkin. Bring children, loved ones, friends, blankets (which can also be rented on site), and a great mood, a desire to observe, listen to music, and dance. Come to fall in love with the unique and inspiring environment of the place that has given so many masterpieces to culture," said Oksana Nesterova, Deputy Director of the A. S. Pushkin "Boldino" Museum-Reserve for development. The concert will provide an opportunity for an amazing journey through musical eras and geographical spaces, transporting listeners to quiet Czech forests with melodic serenades and to Argentine streets full of passion and tango rhythm. The DANKO-QUARTET ensemble consists of laureates of prestigious All-Russian and international competitions: Timofey Tkachenko — violin, Matvey Kortikov — accordion, Denis Shipulin — guitar, Ilya Bogomolov — bass guitar. Entry to the concert and picnic is included with a park ticket. The Boldino Park features elements of English (landscape) style. It covers an area of 9.6 hectares and is located on the slopes of a fairly deep ravine with a cascade of ponds. Within the estate are three ponds: the upper one on the north side of the main house, the lower one behind the bathhouse, and a small pond drying up in hot summer in the lower part of the park. The ponds are an essential element of the landscape.
