      In Gorodetsky District, the owners of the dog that attacked a child have been identified. This was reported by the district head, Alexander Mudrov, on his Telegram channel.

      According to him, the pet owners have contacted authorities themselves. He noted that the reasons for such an act—whether public pressure, a desire for justice, or other motives—remain their responsibility. In any case, the police will provide a legal assessment of the owners' actions, as all parties involved are currently cooperating with law enforcement.

      Mudrov clarified that the dog owners are not residents of Gorodetsky District. He also added that, based on preliminary information, the threat posed by these specific animals within the district no longer exists.

      The district head emphasized that the situation revealed several important points. Primarily, the solidarity and concern of local residents. He thanked everyone who shared information and assisted the injured girl's family, and separately expressed appreciation to eyewitnesses of the incident.

      Mudrov reminded pet owners, regardless of where they live, to follow safety rules when walking their animals—using leashes and muzzles.

      Additionally, the head of the local government urged parents to teach children how to behave when encountering animals, whether domestic or stray.

      He also confirmed that a shelter for stray animals will be built in the district regardless of the incidents that occurred.

      Recall that the dog attack on the child took place on July 14, and investigators have initiated a criminal case.

      Earlier reports indicated that in Balakhna, the catch service shot a domestic dog in a playground in front of its owner and children.
