The trial launch of the new fountain took place in the park near the Serge Ordzhonikidze House of Culture.

      The test launch of the new fountain took place in the public space being improved under the national project near building No. 17 on Chaadaeva Street. This was reported by the administration of the Moscow district. Previously, the city mayor Yuri Shalabaev visited the square with local residents. At that time, the mayor announced that the style of the fountain would remain classical, but modern solutions would be added – dynamic jets up to 4 meters high and lighting. According to Oleg Sokurov, First Deputy Head of the Moscow district administration, the test run verified the functionality of the object. "We checked the operation of the lighting, equipment, nozzles inside the fountain bowl, as well as the bowl itself and the fountain's surface," Sokurov said. He emphasized that the fountain, which had not operated for several decades, has been practically rebuilt. "Water supply, drainage, and electrical systems have been reinstalled at the site. All electrical equipment has been completely replaced, pumping equipment and nozzles installed, lighting design implemented, and a new bowl installed," the deputy head noted. Sergey Kuklin, director of the contracting organization, reported that the new fountain has a classic round shape with a diameter of 9 meters. "The fountain is equipped with one central foam nozzle and 48 monojet nozzles that operate dynamically. Additionally, 51 LED lights that change color depending on programmed settings are installed. A total of eight programs have been created for the water display, which change periodically about every one and a half minutes," Kuklin explained. For many generations of Nizhny Novgorod residents, the fountain is not just an element of landscaping but a symbol of memory: families used to come strolling, hold wedding photo sessions, and celebrate last calls there. "We have long been waiting for the restoration of the fountain. The area in front of the Ordzhonikidze House of Culture is essentially the central square of the aviation settlement. All residents from Chaaeva, Panfilovtsev, Mechnikova, Miroshnikova streets voted for the improvement of the territory and are glad that we won!" said Marina Mordvinova from Nizhny Novgorod. "There was a fountain here before, but it didn't work for many years. We are glad it has been restored. The fountain pleases the eye and warms the soul. It’s great that everything is landscaped and well-maintained," added Elizabeth Adushkina, a resident of the Moscow district. "Thanks to the federal FKGS project, the dream of breathing life into this iconic place, attracting residents of all ages, is becoming a reality. I sincerely hope that Nizhny Novgorod residents will treat the renovated area with care, keep it clean, and enjoy their leisure time here," said Yuri Yeroeyev, a deputy of the Nizhny Novgorod City Duma.

      We remind that residents of the Moscow district of Nizhny Novgorod will soon be able to enjoy the refurbished public space near building No. 17 on Chaadaeva Street, where the beloved House of Culture named after Ordzhonikidze, frequented by many generations, is located. The area is being renovated as part of the federal program "Formation of a Comfortable Urban Environment" within the national project "Infrastructure for Life." Earlier, Mayor Yuri Shalabaev, together with residents, checked the progress of the landscaping along buildings No. 23, 25, and 27 on Vedyanypina Street and near the Autozavodsky department store.
