      The Federal Labor Inspection Service in the Nizhny Novgorod Region has launched an investigation into a workplace accident following a fatal traffic collision that occurred on July 11, 2025, in the Shatkovsky municipal district.

      The tragedy took place at the 128th kilometer of the R-158 highway Nizhny Novgorod — Arzamas — Saransk — Issa — Penza — Saratov, near the turn to the settlement of Krasny Bor. A DAF truck with a tank trailer skidded into a roadside ditch. The driver, an employee of LLC "Troyka," registered in the Penza Region, died at the scene.

      It is noted that the employer did not report the accident within the legally mandated timeframe, which constitutes a violation of Article 228.1 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation.

      According to Ilya Moshes, the chief state labor inspector in the Nizhny Novgorod Region, the investigation is being conducted to establish all circumstances and causes of the incident.

      It was previously reported that an employee at a factory in Kulebaki died at his workplace.
