Nine apartments in the Nizhny Novgorod district will transfer to regional ownership.

On July 17, 2025, at 14:53 [155], the Society of the Nizhny Novgorod Administration will transfer nine residential premises located in the Nizhny Novgorod district into the ownership of the Nizhny Novgorod region. This was announced at the meeting of the standing commission of the city council on property and land relations, reported by the correspondent of NIA "Nizhny Novgorod."

According to Svetlana Pompaeva, head of the city committee for municipal property management, the relevant instruction was received from the governor.

Currently, all the apartments are occupied by regional government employees. The area of the transferred properties ranges from 77 to 134 square meters. They are used as official residences and are currently in regional use on a gratuitous basis.

According to Pompaeva, after the transfer procedure, the responsibility for the maintenance and repair of the premises will shift from the municipality to the Nizhny Novgorod government.

The head of the property committee also added that she does not have a complete list of such apartments, as the department of housing handles resettlement, but promised to prepare a list of all apartments assigned to government officials.

The property commission supported the initiative and recommended that the city council approve the transfer of the property into regional ownership.

It is worth noting that in March, deputies approved the transfer of 44 apartments from the state property of the Nizhny Novgorod region to the municipal authorities to provide housing for orphans.
