More than three thousand residents of Nizhny Novgorod were called up for military service.

      Society In the Nizhny Novgorod region, the spring conscription campaign of 2025 has concluded. The results were summarized on July 15 at a meeting of the conscription commission led by the region's Deputy Governor, Petr Bannikov.

      As reported by the military commissar of the region, Colonel Sergey Agafonov, the set recruitment plan was completed on time. Over 3,000 residents of the region were sent for military service, including about 700 from Nizhny Novgorod.

      The young conscripts from the region were assigned to military units of all branches and types of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, as well as to other executive bodies where military service is provided.

      Among them are 15 individuals assigned to the Presidential Regiment, over 80 to the Semyonovsky Regiment, about 30 to the Preobrazhensky Regiment. Over 200 recruits joined the Air Assault Forces, about 40 to the FSB Border Service, and more than 280 to the Russian National Guard troops.

      It was previously reported that Nizhny Novgorod residents — new recruits of the Preobrazhensky Regiment — took the oath at the Victory Museum.
