Applications for the "You Decide!" project have begun in the Nizhny Novgorod region.

      Applications can be submitted on the website vam.golosza.ru/ until September 15 in eight categories. Participants in the project may include: ● Residents of Nizhny Novgorod and the region (individuals), ● Territorial Public Self-Government (TOS), ● Elders of rural councils. A "Family Application" option is also available. All participants can check their application status online through their personal account. Gleb Nikitin, governor of the Nizhny Novgorod region, noted that the "You Decide!" project is a real tool for territorial development based on citizen participation and engagement in decision-making processes. “I believe that every resident of the Nizhny Novgorod region should have the opportunity to influence budget processes and participate in setting development priorities for their areas. This can include park and square improvement, road repairs, street lighting, creation of children’s and sports grounds, and much more. The main thing is that the initiative should come from the citizens themselves,” emphasized Gleb Nikitin. Evgeny Chintsov, chairman of the Nizhny Novgorod City Duma, thanked everyone who participated in the project in previous years. “By mid-summer, most work is already completed, and children now have new places for recreation. I especially want to highlight family applications, which first appeared last year and will continue this year. Family applications help consider the interests of community members and unite families,” noted Evgeny Chintsov.
