Nizhny Novgorod residents completed work on the first two projects on the new sponsored territory in the DPR.

      Nizhny Novgorod Region, as the lead region, has handed over the first two facilities in the Mangushsky municipal district of the Donetsk People's Republic. In the urban-type settlement of Mangush, a Unified Duty-Dispatch Service (EDDС) has been established, and in the village of Azovskoye of the Mangush district, the equipment of the renovated club has been completed.

      Let us recall that residents of Nizhny Novgorod began working on restoring Mangush in 2025. Earlier, in 2022, the Nizhny Novgorod Region began assisting Khartsyzsk and Ilovaysk.

      In spring this year, Deputy Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Andrey Gneushev paid a working visit to Mangush. He checked the progress of restoration work, including the creation of the EDDС.

      “We started helping the Mangushsky district with the most important issues — housing and communal services, roads, utility networks, and preparations for the upcoming heating season. The EDDС is a key component of the safety system. The service allows for real-time monitoring of fires, utility emergencies, and other potential threats. Creating the first unified duty-dispatch service in Mangush is an opportunity to respond quickly to any calls, an important step toward improving quality of life. I am confident that the dispatch service will become a reliable assistant for the residents of Donbass,” noted Andrey Gneushev.

      As in Khartsyzsk and Ilovaysk, the EDDС in Mangush was created from scratch and equipped with modern technology and digital solutions for prompt emergency response.

      “This is a completely new facility for us. Residents will be able to call and receive help and consultations promptly. We are currently registering the EDDС, recruiting staff for the service. Huge thanks to the lead region for opening this important social facility! The Nizhny Novgorod Region also assists with the reconstruction and repair of social objects, road networks, and communications,” said Vladimir Topuzov, First Deputy Head of the Mangushsky municipal district administration.

      According to the House of National Unity, the Nizhny Novgorod contractors completed the creation of the EDDС ahead of schedule.

      “In 2.5 months, all rooms were renovated, engineering networks replaced, water supply systems installed, and sanitary equipment set up. Considering the importance of the facility, a decision was made to install an automatic diesel generator to restore power instantly. We completed the work over a month earlier than planned. We believe this is a significant benefit for the population,” said Sergey Demchuk, director of the contracting organization.

      With the help of the Nizhny Novgorod residents, the rural club in Azovskoye of the Mangushsky district has also been put into operation. After repairs and equipment upgrades, it has once again become a cultural hub — hosting concerts, exhibitions, and master classes.

      “The lead region renovated the auditorium of the only club in the village. Now it has a beautiful curtain on stage and new chairs. During the official opening of the club on Russia Day, a concert was held in the renovated facility. People with tears in their eyes expressed gratitude to the Nizhny Novgorod Region. The quality of cultural services for villagers and the entire district has noticeably improved. Young dance and musical groups now feel comfortable practicing. The club has begun to attract a lot of elderly visitors. We sincerely thank the lead region and Governor Gleb Nikitin and look forward to further fruitful cooperation,” said Natalia Toshkopharan, Deputy Head of the Mangushsky municipal district.

      According to local residents, they will now visit the club much more often and with greater enthusiasm.

      “We are very satisfied! There had been no repairs here for so many years, we didn’t even want to come. We attended the opening and were very happy — now it’s beautiful and comfortable!” shared Maria Udod, a resident of Azovskoye village.

      

      The Nizhny Novgorod Region plans to restore 31 facilities in Mangushsky district in 2025. The House of National Unity coordinates the work of contracting organizations and interacts with authorities, where the project office for implementing a special infrastructure project in the DPR operates.
