      Incidents The head of the linear police department at Nizhny Novgorod Airport, Namig Musaev, has been detained as part of an investigation into a criminal case related to the organization of a illegal migration channel. This was reported by the transportation department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Volga Federal District.

      It is noted that the unlawful actions of a group of individuals were uncovered by security officers of the transport police in cooperation with FSB officers for the Nizhny Novgorod region.

      Preliminary data indicate that a regional resident repeatedly facilitated foreign nationals' evasion of administrative responsibility for violations of migration legislation. To do this, he entered into agreements with officers of the police linear department at the airport and also involved other participants in the scheme.

      As part of further investigative actions and operational support for the criminal case, the head of the police linear department at the airport was detained. The department added that if guilt is confirmed, the officers will be dismissed from internal affairs authorities on negative grounds. All detainees will face punishment in accordance with the law.
