Weather forecasters predicted a thunderstorm in the Nizhny Novgorod region on July 12; energy workers are preparing.

      Society "Nizhneenergo" is actively preparing for operating in severe weather conditions forecasted for July 12 in the Nizhny Novgorod region. According to the Hydrometeorological Center, thunderstorms with wind gusts up to 15 meters per second are expected that day.

      To promptly respond to possible adverse weather consequences, the company has mobilized 266 crews comprising 988 specialists and 406 units of specialized equipment. Special attention is given to socially significant facilities and infrastructure, for which 234 backup power sources with a total capacity of about 7.6 megawatts have been prepared.

      An operational headquarters is functioning within the company, coordinating actions with territorial units of the EMERCOM, executive authorities, and local administrations. Continuous monitoring of the meteorological situation allows for timely responses to weather changes.

      It is important to remember that it is strictly forbidden to approach fallen power line wires. Immediately report such incidents to the energy company or EMERCOM.
