      Two people died at water bodies in the Nizhny Novgorod region within twenty-four hours. The details are reported by the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations for the region. On July 11, 2025, two tragic incidents occurred on water bodies in the Nizhny Novgorod region, resulting in fatalities. In the Sharangsky district, in the village of Staraya Rudka, on the Rudka River, the body of a 39-year-old man was found. Witnesses retrieved the deceased from the water and handed him over to police officers.

      In the Volodarsky district, on the Klyazma River, near the village of Ilyina Gora, another man's body was found. The 73-year-old victim was recovered from the water by police officers.

      The circumstances of the deaths are being established. Rescuers urge residents of the region to follow water safety rules and not to swim in un designated areas.
