As part of the implementation of the national project "Infrastructure for Life," large-scale work is underway to equip stopping points on the roads of the Nizhny Novgorod region. A total of 66 new sites with modern pavilions will be built this year, the Main Department of Automobile Roads of the region reported. The largest number of objects - 11 - has been installed on the road Shakhunya - Tumanyno - Fad'ka - Malinovsky, more than 15 km of which was repaired this year also as part of the national project. The replacement of stopping pavilions continues in the Gorodets municipal district. Thus, 20 stops have been equipped directly in the central part of Gorodets on the road Galanino - Gorodets to the village of Sudoverfi, eight - on the road Gorodets - Koverkino in the settlements of Brilyakovsky and Kovriginsky rural councils, and two - on the road Belaya - Fedurino - Voronovo - Sobolikha, as well as in the village of Sobolikha itself. Here, the contractor dismantled the old bus pavilions, installed new curb stones for the boarding areas, laid paving stones on them, and set up new glass pavilions with benches and bins. Nameplates have also been installed at each stop. The contract cost amounted to more than 19.4 million rubles. "Creating a safe road environment is a complex task. We build lighting lines and traffic light facilities every year, equip pedestrian crossings, apply markings, and install barrier fences. Quality and properly located stops are an integral part of this system," said Acting Director of the State Budgetary Institution of the Nizhny Novgorod Region "GUAD" Alexander Denisov. The national project "Infrastructure for Life" was initiated by the President of Russia Vladimir Putin to provide citizens with modern infrastructure. The national project consists of 12 federal projects, which are partly a continuation of previously implemented national projects "Safe Quality Roads," "Housing and Urban Environment," and state programs of the Russian Federation. They are aimed, among other things, at the development of road construction, housing and communal services, ensuring road safety, and developing public passenger transport.
