The creators of "Mister Sidra" will pay 4 million rubles to the family of the deceased woman from Nizhny Novgorod.

      On September 2, 2026, at 17:07, Incidents The Bogorodsky City Court awarded compensation for moral damages to the relatives of a woman who died after being poisoned by the drink "Mister Cider," which contained methanol. This was reported by the press service of the Nizhny Novgorod Regional Court.

      Recall that the deadly drink was distributed in retail chains and stores across Russia. Fifty people died from poisoning by "Mister Cider," including four in the Nizhny Novgorod region. The woman purchased the drink in June 2023 in Bogorodsk.

      According to the investigation, in 2023, Artem Guseynov, who was the founder and actual head of the company "Andi," organized cider production in Samara. Together with Anar Ayrapetyan, they abandoned traditional technology and began adding alcohol to the soluble juice.

      To reduce production costs, Ayrapetyan purchased about four thousand liters of alcohol from Alexey and Dmitry Egorov, as well as Ivan Grebenkin. This alcohol was stolen from an Interior Ministry warehouse and lacked documentation. It later turned out to contain methanol and was deadly.

      Earlier, Anar Ayrapetyan and Artem Guseynov were convicted under Part 3 of Article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation for the production, storage, transportation, and sale of products that do not meet safety requirements. The court sentenced them to eight and nine years in a general regime colony, respectively. The relatives of the deceased were recognized as victims in this criminal case.

      The relatives of the deceased requested compensation for moral damages of 3 million rubles from each of the defendants. The court partially satisfied the claims. In favor of the mother of the deceased, 500 thousand rubles were awarded from each of Ayrapetyan and Guseynov. In favor of the husband and minor children, 1.5 million rubles were awarded from each.

      The court's decision has not yet entered into legal force.
