Rossotrudnichestvo will support the forum of sister cities in Nizhny Novgorod.

      On August 31, 2026, at 13:07, the Society of Rossotrudnichestvo will support the annual forum "Sister Cities and Partners" (12+), which takes place in Nizhny Novgorod on the eve of City Day. This was reported in his Max channel by Mayor Yuri Shalabaev following a meeting with the Deputy Head of Rossotrudnichestvo Konstantin Kolpakov.

      According to the mayor, the meeting discussed issues of cooperation with sister cities and partners of Nizhny Novgorod. Currently, the capital of the Volga region has 32 such partners in 23 countries around the world.

      Shalabaev spoke about international projects of Nizhny Novgorod, including the Sister Cities Center, which was opened in collaboration with Chinese colleagues, as well as the annual forum "Sister Cities and Partners."

      In addition, Konstantin Kolpakov was interested in Nizhny Novgorod's experience in developing digital services. This includes the "Digital Gorky" project, a VR journey with Pushkin and Guliya through Nizhny Novgorod and Sukhumi, as well as VR tours along 30 routes.

      The mayor added that the Days of Nizhny Novgorod in sister cities have become an example of cultural interpenetration.

      "In 2027, we will combine several projects and together with Rossotrudnichestvo will hold a presentation on the use of artificial intelligence and VR technologies in Novi Sad, where the Days of Nizhny Novgorod will take place," noted Yuri Shalabaev.
