More than 7 km of the Vad - Dubenskoe road have been repaired under the national project in the Nizhny Novgorod region.

      On August 28, 2026, at 14:32, Society In the Nizhny Novgorod region, as part of the national project "Infrastructure for Life," the repair of an important section of the regional road Vad - Dubenskoe from zero to the seventh kilometer has been completed, reported the Main Department of Automobile Roads of the region. The contract price amounted to 165.2 million rubles. The contractor reinforced the foundations using the cold recycling method with cement mixtures, laid a leveling layer of asphalt concrete and the top surface, reinforced the shoulders with gravel, and applied horizontal markings with paint containing reflective elements. Special attention was paid to the public transport stop: a new boarding area with a reinforced concrete bus shelter and a bench has been equipped here. According to the contractor, this section had been waiting for repairs for several years - deadlines were postponed due to the construction of the federal highway M-12, which intersects with this road. Therefore, this year the work was carried out at an accelerated pace - it was completed in a month. It is expected that after the repair, the road surface will last at least 5-7 years. "The Vad - Dubenskoe road is one of the key routes in the Vad district. It connects the center with seven rural settlements, providing access to social facilities, schools, FAPs, and agricultural enterprises. The route also leads to the Dubenskoe quarry, which is regularly used by heavy trucks and agricultural machinery," said Mikhail Toropov, head of the road repair and maintenance control department of the State Budgetary Institution of Nizhny Novgorod "GUAD." Now the road has been brought to a normative state, which will significantly increase the comfort and safety of traffic, as well as improve the transport accessibility of rural areas. Let us remind you that since 2019, thanks to the national project "Infrastructure for Life" (until 2025 - "Safe and Quality Roads"), almost 130 km of roads have been repaired in the Sosnovsky district, which accounts for about 70% of the total length of the network.
