Experts from the competence centers conducted audits on robotization at Nizhny Novgorod enterprises.

      On August 31, 2026, at 13:59, Economy Experts from regional and federal centers of competence conducted 21 technological audits on robotization in industrial enterprises of the Nizhny Novgorod region since the beginning of 2026. In this regard, the region ranks among the top 5 subjects in Russia.

      Work on the development of industrial robotization in the region is carried out within the framework of the national project "Means of Production and Automation."

      "For an enterprise, robotization begins not with the purchase of equipment, but with understanding where it will have the greatest effect. During the technological audit, experts assess production processes, determine the potential for robotization and automation, select suitable solutions, and calculate their economic effect and payback period. This allows companies to make informed decisions and reduce risks when implementing new technologies. After the audit, enterprises can take advantage of a range of federal and regional support measures. Among them are industrial cashback with compensation of up to 50 percent of costs for implementing robotics, preferential loans from the Industrial Development Fund, as well as grants and subsidies for R&D and the creation of engineering centers," said Maxim Cherkasov, Minister of Industry, Trade, and Entrepreneurship of the Nizhny Novgorod region.

      The technological audits involved enterprises from various industries, including the production of building materials, automotive components, electrical and electronic equipment, food products, chemicals, tools, and fasteners.

      Experts from federal and regional centers of competence conduct assessments of production processes at enterprises on a pro bono basis.       Since 2019, specialists from federal and regional centers of competence have been helping to implement lean technologies in Nizhny Novgorod enterprises. Today, this work is carried out under the federal project "Labor Productivity" of the national project "Effective and Competitive Economy." Experts work at participating enterprises of the federal project for six months. Specialists conduct audits and offer comprehensive solutions to increase production indicators, as well as train employees, allowing enterprises to independently implement lean technologies across all production areas.

      Let us remind you that the national project "Means of Production and Automation" has been implemented since 2025 by the order of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin. One of its key goals is to place Russia among the 25 leading countries in the world in terms of industrial robotization density by 2030.
