This was reported by the regional government. The two-day tour is titled "From Volga Barges to Nuclear Submarines - Traditions of Nizhny Novgorod Shipbuilding." It was prepared as part of the federal project "Science Nearby" with the participation of the regional headquarters of the Decade of Science and Technology for the federal project "Science Nearby." "Such tours provide teenagers with a holistic picture of the industry and allow them to trace its evolution - from the developments of Ivan Kulibin to modern ships," noted the Deputy Chair of the Nizhny Novgorod region government, Ekaterina Solntseva. The route is designed for schoolchildren aged 15 and older. Participants will be able to learn about the history and present of one of the region's main industries. An excursion titled "River Nizhny" is planned for the evening of the first day. On the second day, schoolchildren will head to Chkalovsk. There, a city walk, an interactive program at the speed museum, and an excursion to the Central Design Bureau for the SPK named after R.E. Alexeev have been prepared for them. During the summer period, schoolchildren will travel from Nizhny Novgorod to Chkalovsk and back on the vessel "Valdai." During the trip, a thematic quiz will be held for the participants. As noted by the regional government, the route helps teenagers not only learn more about the history of shipbuilding but also see how the industry is developing today. Groups will be small - up to 20 people. A total of 14 science-popular routes have already been developed in the Nizhny Novgorod region, which have received approval from federal experts.
