The car with the body of a 58-year-old man was retrieved from a pond in Nizhny Novgorod.

      On August 28, 2026, at 14:06, Incidents: Rescuers pulled a car with the body of the driver from a pond in the Sechenovsky district. This was reported by the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations for the Nizhny Novgorod region. According to their data, local residents noticed traces of a car that had gone into the water on the shore of the Bogatilovsky pond the night before, and nearby, a detached headlight.

      Specialists from the regional emergency rescue team arrived at the scene. They discovered and retrieved the car from the water with the body of a 58-year-old man. The circumstances of the tragedy are to be established by law enforcement agencies.

      It was previously reported that in the village of Shchelkovo in the Volodarsky district, a foreign car overturned into a swamp. The driver was hospitalized.
