New school for 1000 students: the party delegation checked the institution's readiness for September 1st.

      On August 28, 2026, at 14:41, Society A working group led by State Duma Deputy Artem Kavinov assessed the readiness of the new building of a general education school in the city of Bor, located on Lunacharsky Street. Construction and finishing works have already been completed at the site. Cleaning of the premises, assembly, and arrangement of educational inventory are underway in the building. The supply of furniture and equipment continues. The landscaping and greening of the adjacent territory have reached the final stage. Sites for the installation of small architectural forms are ready. "Today in Bor, we looked at how the school is preparing for the new academic year. We checked the condition of classrooms, sports halls, the cafeteria, the medical block, cloakrooms, and rooms for additional education. We also walked around the territory to see the condition of sports grounds, the stadium, paths, and access to the building. Special attention was paid to safety: access to the building, lighting system, ventilation, temperature control, and conditions for children with limited health capabilities. But the most important thing is how comfortable it is for the children here. To ensure that it is warm in winter, there is enough light and air in the classrooms, it is safe during breaks, and after lessons, they want to stay for sports or creative activities. Preparing for the academic year is always not just about walls and equipment. It’s about the conditions in which children gain knowledge and grow every day. Therefore, it is important to check everything in advance and make sure that the school is truly ready to welcome the kids," explained Artem Kavinov.

      The new school is designed for 1,000 places. Education will be organized in one shift, with an average class size of 25 students. A stadium with a football field, circular and straight running tracks has been built on the territory, and there is a combined area for playing volleyball, basketball, and a gymnastics area. The building houses three sports halls with shower rooms and changing rooms. Workshops have been equipped, including for woodworking and metalworking. "The new school number two is already the third one for 1,000 places in the territory of Bor. One of the facilities based on a similar project was built in 2024. The building, according to its design solution, allows for addressing the most modern educational tasks. Only modern equipment has been installed here. There are 48 classrooms spread over three floors. Three sports halls and an assembly hall for 450 seats. Today we saw that the school is fully ready to meet students on September 1," noted the secretary of the local branch of "United Russia," Alexey Borovsky. The building is also equipped with everything necessary for the education of students with limited health capabilities. Each floor includes measures to create a barrier-free environment. This includes two elevators, safety zones, ramps, restrooms, and a shower near the sports hall. "The school is really very much awaited: by parents, children, and teachers. It is important to say that parents and the teaching staff have been actively involved in the implementation of this project from the very beginning. Much of the wonderful result we see now has been achieved thanks to their comments and suggestions. I would like to highlight the unique solution in the physics classrooms. A special ceiling design has allowed for the provision of an autonomous space for each student to conduct individual physical experiments," commented the regional coordinator of the "New School" project, Margarita Bannikova.

      Parents and students particularly note the beauty of the new school and the spacious classrooms, sports halls, and recreation areas. "On September 1, my daughter will go to the 1st 'M' class. She has only seen the school in photographs, but she is already very eager to start learning. I have the best impressions. The building impresses with its beauty. I think our children will be very happy to study and develop here," shared the mother of a first-grader, Olga Shakhina. The mother of an 11th-grade student, Irina Korzina, said that with the opening of the new school, the long-standing expectations of many local residents have come true: "In our area, there is intensive construction, and the need for a new large modern school has long been overdue. We are very glad that we now have such a school. The children are eagerly awaiting the new academic year. They help teachers arrange their classrooms: participating in cleaning and assembling furniture, and moving things from the old school. We, as parents, also help because we are, of course, interested in making sure that it is comfortable, warm, beautiful, and clean here. And that our children are happy in this new school."
