Nizhny Novgorod residents are waiting for the "Night of Cinema" on August 29.

      On August 25, 2026, at 19:30, the poster in the Nizhny Novgorod region will host the All-Russian event "Night of Cinema" (16+). This year, it will take place for the eleventh time, as reported by the regional Ministry of Culture.

      The event is traditionally held in honor of Russian Cinema Day. The program includes several Russian films of various genres: the historical drama "Angels of Ladoga" (16+), family films "Burattino" (6+) and "Cheburashka 2" (6+), as well as the war film "Baby" (16+).

      In the capital of the Volga region, the "Night of Cinema" will be joined by the Culture Center "Record," the cinemas "Orlyonok" and "Burevestnik," the cinema center "Zarnitsa," the leisure center "Smena," as well as several libraries in different districts of the city.

      Screenings will also take place in other cities of the region, including Bor, Gorodets, Dzerzhinsk, Vyksa, Sarov, and Lyskov. In total, more than 60 venues will participate in the event in the Nizhny Novgorod region.

      Admission to the screenings will be free. However, at some venues, the number of seats is limited, so viewers may need to register in advance.
