The 100th race of "Nizhny Novgorod Truth" will take place on September 26.

      On August 20, 2026, at 19:15, it was announced that the date for the 100th athletic relay race for the prizes of the newspaper "Nizhny Novgorod Pravda" (0+) has been set. The competition will take place on September 26 at the embankment of the Rowing Canal near the sports and entertainment center "Goradrom."

      The anniversary race will be held as part of the athletics festival "Queen of Sports" (6+). In the morning, there will also be races for the Russian Championship at 100 kilometers and interregional competitions at 50 and 100 kilometers.

      The start of the "Nizhny Novgorod Pravda" relay and the 77th race for the prizes of the Government of the Nizhny Novgorod Region is scheduled for 11:00.

      The relay will feature teams of 10 people. Each athlete completes their leg and passes the baton to the next participant. Men and women compete separately.

      For the strongest teams, an additional zero stage of 800 meters is provided. The other ten stages are each 200 meters long.

      A mixed relay will be organized for representatives of executive authorities, with five men and five women competing in each team.

      We remind you that mass street closures are expected in Nizhny Novgorod this coming weekend due to the triathlon competitions (18+). As a result, some buses will change their routes.
