VTB enhances security: will notify about account access from another device

With one click, all active sessions can be terminated, and access for intruders can be instantly blocked. The new tool helps stop an attack at an early stage—before fraudsters can take advantage of the accounts. After forcibly terminating sessions, re-authorization will be required—this additionally protects clients' data and funds. The feature is already available in online banking and mobile applications on iOS and Android. In the security section, you can check the login history at any time, see the list of connected devices, and terminate all active sessions. According to the Bank of Russia, in the second quarter, banks recorded 458.7 thousand unauthorized transactions—this is 7.5% less than in the first quarter. The decrease was made possible by the development of protective mechanisms in digital services. "Even if fraudsters gain access to an account, it becomes increasingly difficult for them to act unnoticed. Login notifications, device control, and the ability to instantly terminate sessions help clients respond quickly and protect their funds.
