      On August 16, 2026, at 14:56, Incidents: A VAZ 2114 caught fire after colliding with a tree in the Navashinsky district. This was reported by the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate of the Nizhny Novgorod region. The accident occurred on August 15 at the 7th kilometer of the Kulebaki - Valtovo - Salavir - Petrov Bridge road. The driver was a 19-year-old. In adverse weather conditions while making a left turn, he chose an unsafe speed. As a result, the car went off the road and crashed into a tree. After the collision, the vehicle burst into flames. The driver suffered a fracture of his right leg. He sought medical help on his own, reaching the hospital by hitchhiking.
