A draft law has been submitted to the Legislative Assembly of the Nizhny Novgorod Region to approve a priority investment agreement between the regional government and JSC "SMK Kulebaki." The project concerns the expansion and modernization of production. The company plans to increase the plant's capacity for the production of bridge metal structures and other complex construction structures. According to the documents, the area of the main production building is planned to be increased from 41.2 thousand to 48.3 thousand square meters. The enterprise's capacity is expected to grow from 35 thousand to 46 thousand tons of metal structures per year. This will allow for the production of 11 thousand tons more products annually. The total investment in the project is stated at 2.608 billion rubles. The company also expects to create 268 jobs. If the draft law is approved, the enterprise will be able to receive government support in the form of property tax benefits. It is expected that this will be effective from April 1, 2026, to March 31, 2031, but no longer than the payback period of the project. The total amount of the benefit may reach 98 million rubles. At the same time, regional authorities estimate the budgetary effect of the project during the agreement's duration at nearly 440 million rubles, with income from personal income tax (PIT) at 344.8 million rubles. After the benefit period ends and the enterprise reaches full capacity, annual tax revenues from the project are projected to amount to 152.2 million rubles excluding PIT, and 78.8 million rubles including PIT. The document was prepared in accordance with the regional law on government support for investment activities, the regional government's order granting the project priority status, and the protocol of the presidium of the Council for Development Strategy and Investments under the governor. Earlier, it was reported that the government of the Nizhny Novgorod Region terminated investment agreements with the berry producer LLC "Rassvet," LLC "Nizhny Novgorod Foundry," and "Intrast NN" regarding the warehouse.
