Nizhny Novgorod transport will change routes on City Day.

      On August 14, 2026, at 12:14 PM, Society In Nizhny Novgorod, on August 15 and 16, some public transport routes will be changed. This was reported by the city administration. The adjustments are related to temporary traffic restrictions due to the celebration of City Day. It was also previously reported that some routes will extend their operation until 01:00 on August 16. According to the city administration, electric bus routes e9, e13, e17, as well as buses No. 1, 68, and 190 will operate on Piskunova, Ulyanova, Nesterova, and Bolshaya Pecherskaya streets to the final stop "River School." Buses No. 3, 61, 70, 91, and 160 are planned to run along Zeleny Syezd and Oktyabrskaya Street, while buses No. 13, 19, 24, 45, 74, 90, 150, 180, and 242 will run along Zeleny Syezd, Oktyabrskaya, Varvarskaya, and Piskunova streets in both directions.

      Routes No. 40, 64, 92, 97, and 130 will be organized along Piskunova Street in both directions. Buses No. 71 and 95 will be directed along Zeleny Syezd, Oktyabrskaya, Varvarskaya, Piskunova, Ulyanova, Nesterova, and Bolshaya Pecherskaya streets to the stop "River School." The bus route No. 31 will be shortened to the stop "University of Water Transport." Buses No. 3, 61, 70, 91, and 160 will operate in both directions along Pokhvalinsky Syezd, Maslyakova, Ilyinskaya, Dobrolyubova, and Oktyabrskaya streets. Buses No. 13, 19, 24, 45, 74, 90, 180, and 242 will follow along Pokhvalinsky Syezd, Maslyakova, Ilyinskaya, Dobrolyubova, Oktyabrskaya, Varvarskaya, and Piskunova streets (both directions).

      Routes No. 71 and 95 will be organized along the Nizhnevolzhskaya Embankment to the final stop "Hero Boat." Bus No. 150 is planned to run along Piskunova, Varvarskaya, Oktyabrskaya, Dobrolyubova, Ilyinskaya, and Gorky streets in both directions. The route of bus No. 74 towards Kanavinsky Bridge will also change: it will be directed along Murashkinskaya and Dolzhanskaya streets. In the opposite direction, the route will remain unchanged. Let us remind you that on August 15, Nizhny Novgorod will celebrate its 805th anniversary. Festive events (0+) will take place at Minin and Pozharsky Square, as well as in the parks "Switzerland," "Svetloyarsky," "Dubki," named after May 1, and Avtozavodsky.
