The Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod region, Gleb Nikitin, discussed the prospects for the development of the region's tourist infrastructure with the General Director of the Tourism.RF corporation, Vasily Shvets. During the visit, the regional head personally showed the guest the Nizhny Novgorod Kremlin and introduced him to the key tourist attractions of the city. Gleb Nikitin reported this on his Telegram channel.

The governor paid special attention to the large-scale renovation of the Kremlin area. Historical objects are being restored here, and the space is being transformed while preserving its cultural significance.

Gleb Nikitin and Vasily Shvets also rode the Nizhny Novgorod funicular. It was restored according to historical blueprints, and the route runs through a tunnel directly under the Kremlin wall – this is the only funicular in Russia with such an unusual location. During their personal meeting, the parties separately discussed the further development of tourism in the Nizhny Novgorod region. Gleb Nikitin noted that getting to know the region on-site helps to better understand its features and opportunities. The governor thanked Vasily Shvets for the visit and expressed confidence that the cooperation would allow for the implementation of new interesting tourist projects in the region.
