A Nizhny Novgorod resident received a 7-year suspended sentence for commercial bribery of 2.6 million rubles.

      On August 14, 2026, at 07:16, Incidents The Soviet District Court of Nizhny Novgorod issued a verdict in the criminal case against a former employee of a fruit company, accused of commercial bribery in a particularly large amount. It was established that from February 2018 to February 2020, the man, working as the warehouse manager of LLC "National Fruit Company," illegally received money for actions in the interests of one of the suppliers. He was found guilty under part 8 of article 204 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The court sentenced the defendant to 7 years of conditional imprisonment with a probation period of 4 years and 6 months. In addition, 2.6 million rubles were confiscated for the benefit of the state.
