      August 12, 2026 19:15 Society The Nizhny Novgorod Regional Court confirmed the decision to demolish unauthorized constructions on forest fund lands near the Gorky Reservoir. This was reported by the court's press service. Earlier, the first-instance court satisfied the claim of the environmental prosecutor's office against the Association of the Sports and Recreation Complex "Green Valley." Eighteen real estate objects located in the Gorodets district on forest fund lands were recognized as unauthorized constructions. The court established that the forest fund plot was provided for recreational activities and allowed only temporary structures. However, the owners erected two-story permanent buildings, which are classified as real estate objects. The court concluded that such construction does not comply with the intended use of the plot and is not provided for in the forest development project. The defendants were ordered to demolish these objects. At the same time, the association's counterclaim for the recognition of property rights as absent was denied. The property owners and the association attempted to challenge the decision. However, the judicial panel of the Nizhny Novgorod Regional Court deemed the conclusions of the first instance lawful and justified, leaving the appeals ungranted. It should be added that the "Green Valley" association is headed by entrepreneur and former deputy of the Nizhny Novgorod Duma Alexey Bobrov. The organization was established on November 2, 2005.
