Seven drainage pipes have been repaired in the Bogorodsky District.

      In the Bogorodsky municipal district of the Nizhny Novgorod region, the repair of seven culverts has been completed. As part of the road safety program of the national project "Infrastructure for Life," facilities on the roads Ryazhsk - Kasimov - Murom - Nizhny Novgorod, Spirino - Karpovo - Bukino, and the approach to the village of Burevestnik have been restored. The work was completed within the deadlines set by the state contract - by July 31, 2026, reported the Main Department of Automobile Roads of the Nizhny Novgorod region. Culverts play a key role in road infrastructure: they allow small rivers and streams to flow under the roadway without interrupting the natural flow of water. This helps keep the road dry, intact, and safe, preventing the washing away of embankments and the destruction of asphalt concrete surfaces. For the Bogorodsky district, characterized by hilly terrain and the presence of many small rivers, the proper condition of these structures is particularly important. During the repair, the contractor also cleared the channels of blockages, restored damaged reinforced concrete elements, and conducted internal rehabilitation of the pipes, protecting them with a polymer shell, and reinforced the channels and slopes of the embankment. All work was carried out using modern trenchless technologies. The main advantage of this method is the absence of the need to close traffic or construct temporary detours. Road traffic on all sections remained uninterrupted throughout the entire period of work. "Currently, large-scale work is ongoing to inspect and restore culverts throughout the Nizhny Novgorod region. Plans for the repair of similar facilities have been almost formed for the Bolshie Boldino district, the municipal districts of Navashinsky and Semyonovsky, the urban district of Kulebaki, the Kstovsky district, and other territories in the region. The geography of the work covers the entire region, which will ensure the safety of the regional road network in the long term," said Sergey Poletayev, head of the artificial structures department of the GUAAD of the Nizhny Novgorod region. The national project "Infrastructure for Life" was initiated by the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, with the aim of providing citizens with modern infrastructure. The national project consists of 12 federal projects, which are partly a continuation of previously implemented national projects "Safe Quality Roads," "Housing and Urban Environment," and state programs of the Russian Federation. They are aimed, among other things, at the development of road construction, housing and communal services, ensuring road safety, and developing public passenger transport.
