The industrial production index in the Nizhny Novgorod region in June 2026 compared to the same period last year was 110.0%, and compared to May 2026 – 104.7%. This was reported by the press service of Nizhny Novgorodstat. For the first half of 2026, the industrial production index overall was 100.2% compared to the same period in 2025. Industrial enterprises in the region shipped goods of their own production, performed works and services with their own resources for a total amount of over 1.1 trillion rubles: in manufacturing – 988.8 billion rubles, in the supply of electricity, gas, and steam – 90.5 billion rubles, in water supply and wastewater – 27.1 billion rubles, in the extraction of minerals – 3.3 billion rubles. In manufacturing, the growth in output volumes for the half-year was 0.2%. The leaders in growth were: the production of finished metal products (+28.3%), furniture (+18.0%), chemicals and chemical products (+12.9%), pharmaceuticals (+8.0%), textile products (+6.5%), food products (+5.7%), computers, electronic and optical products (+5.3%), beverages (+5.1%), paper and paper products (+2.9%). Among specific types of products, the highest growth over six months was shown by: non-alcoholic beverages (+71.7%), butter (+51.4%), and structures made of ferrous metals (+48.4%).
