"Wheat 'from the future' discovered in the Nizhny Novgorod region"

      On August 12, 2026, at 17:29, the Society reported that Rosselkhoznadzor discovered products with a "future" date in the Nizhny Novgorod region. This was reported by the regional office of the agency. Specialists identified cases of documentation for goods with an advance production date during daily monitoring of enterprises producing animal products.

      For instance, a veterinarian servicing the Agricultural Artel Zemledilets registered on August 1 in the FGIS "VetIS" system feed wheat with a production date of August 31, 2026.

      In total, during the first decade of August, 10 similar cases were identified in the Nizhny Novgorod region and the Mari El Republic, which fall under the jurisdiction of the office. Authorized persons and veterinarians who issued production e-EDDs received warnings.

      It was previously reported that the office revoked two declarations of conformity for meat and dairy products from Nizhny Novgorod producers.
