In his Max channel, he reminded that the capital of the Volga region will celebrate its 805th anniversary. "Today it would be easy to completely abandon city celebrations, citing the austerity regime. But leaving Nizhny Novgorod without a birthday would be a big mistake," the mayor emphasized. This year, the celebration on August 15 will be different: the number of venues will be reduced to six, and the number of leading artists will be cut down to two. Yuri Shalabaev emphasized that the celebration will be a platform for conveying our unique history and demonstrating the beauty of our traditions through crafts, folk songs, and dances.
